Posatex
Posatex is for the treatment of acute otitis externa and acute exacerbations of recurrent otitis externa, associated with bacteria susceptible to orbifloxacin and fungi susceptible to posaconazole, in particular Malassezia pachydermatis.

Ear drops containing 8.5 mg/ml orbifloxacin, 0.9 mg/ml mometasone furoate (as monohydrate) and 0.9 mg/ml posaconazole.
Responsible use of Antibiotics
One of the active ingredients (orbifloxacin) in Posatex is an antibiotic. When used correctly, antibiotics have an important role by maintaining health and welfare of animals. However, there are concerns that resistance or resistant bacteria could be transferred from animal to human health, and vice versa, and reduce the effectiveness of some antibiotic treatments. It is vital that antibiotics are used in the correct and appropriate manner to minimise this possibility.
